Exhibition for Christchurch residential artists

As so many Christchurch artists have lost their studios and exhibition spaces, Arts Canterbury Inc. is arranging an exhibition at the George Hotel, Park Avenue, during the weekend of 27, 28 and 29 May.

Details are in process of being worked out, and such matters as costs and selection will be dependant on the degree of interest and the outcome of funding applications which have been submitted.

The George Hotel has been chosen because of its central location, accessibility and co-operation. Furthermore, the hotel is willing to retain a number of art works for ongoing display, and prospective sale, in various areas of their public spaces.

Costs to exhibitors will be kept to a minimum but at this stage are expected to be no more than $30 per entry plus 20% commission on sales.

To help us with the organisation of this exhibition, we are seeking an expression of interest from artists.
